Small commercial window tinting

Alongside home window tinting, Stewart accepts small commercial projects such as a small office, a storefront or a single business suite. It is an owner-operated business without a large crew, so each commercial inquiry is reviewed individually to confirm it is the right size and scope.

What changes

What you actually get.

More comfortable work spaces

Solar film reduces the sun heat coming through the glass, which helps desks and seating near the windows stay more comfortable.

Less glare on screens

Glare-reducing film takes the edge off low sun on monitors and point-of-sale screens while keeping the space bright.

Privacy where you need it

Frosted and decorative films for glass doors, partitions and windows that face a parking lot or street.

Help protecting displays and furnishings

Reducing UV through the glass helps limit UV-related fading of merchandise, signage and furnishings.

Good fit

This is usually for:

  • Small offices with hot or glary window-side desks
  • Storefront and shop windows
  • Reception areas and waiting rooms
  • Glass doors and partitions that need privacy
Worth knowing

Stewart does not have a crew for large commercial installations. Small projects are welcome, and if a job is larger than he can take on, he will tell you up front.

How we decide

The right film starts with the right questions.

Six things change the answer. Some can be covered by phone with your location, photos and approximate measurements; others are best checked in person. This is what Stewart looks at.

  1. 01

    The glass

Single or double pane, clear or already tinted, tempered or annealed, any existing coating. This is the first thing looked at because it rules options in and out before anything else is discussed. Some films should not go on some glass.

  2. 02

    Sun exposure

Which direction the glass faces and what hits it, at what hour. A west-facing wall taking full afternoon sun is a different problem from a south-facing one that is bright all day, and they do not get the same film.

  3. 03

    How the space is used

A room with screens has a glare problem. A room with hardwood and rugs has a fading problem. A ground-floor room facing a sidewalk has a privacy problem. Often the same window has two of the three.

  4. 04

    What matters most to you

Almost every choice here is a trade. Maximum heat rejection, maximum clarity, and lowest visible change cannot all be the priority at once. Knowing which one you would give up first is what decides the film.

  5. 05

    Film selection

Only now does a specific product get named, matched to the glass, the exposure, the use and your priority, and shown to you as a sample against your own window rather than as a swatch in a book.

  6. 06

    Installation

Measured, cut, the glass fully prepared, applied, edges finished and inspected. Timing is agreed with you directly once the windows and film are confirmed.

Short answers to the questions Stewart hears most.

  • Yes. Estimates are free.

  • Yes. Estimates can be provided remotely from your measurements and photos, or through a site visit. Tell Stewart which you would prefer on the estimate form.

  • Your city or ZIP code, roughly how many windows you want treated, the approximate width and height of each one (rough numbers are fine), and a few clear photos of the windows from inside. A line about what you want to fix, such as heat, glare, privacy or UV, helps too.

  • Yes, small commercial jobs such as small offices and storefronts. Stewart is owner-operated and does not have a crew for large projects, so each commercial inquiry is reviewed individually.

  • Yes. Call or text (636) 575-6564. If Stewart cannot pick up, leave a voicemail with your name and number.

  • Decide which windows you want treated and measure the width and height of each if you can. Take photos from inside, ideally when the sun is hitting the room, so Stewart can see the glare or heat. If a site visit is needed, make sure the windows are easy to reach.
